Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired the meeting of the Higher Committee for Investment and Reconstruction today, Monday. A statement from his media office said that during the meeting, the files of investment projects were followed up, investment mechanisms were developed in various economic and development sectors, and the files presented on the agenda were discussed and the required decisions were taken regarding them. During the meeting, Al-Sudani renewed his previous directives on the necessity of taking decisions consistent with the economic reform approach, which represents one of the government's priorities, and proceeding with the government's plans to implement strategic and development projects, especially in the housing sector. According to the statement, the meeting approved a project submitted by the private sector to establish a hospital project for specialized surgeries in Diwaniyah Governorate. Approval was also obtained for the project to develop the presidential palaces area in Basra Governorate, and grant a special investment license. The meeting also approved a number of investment projects and residential real estate development projects within the serviced lands in Wasit Governorate and what is related to them with public service buildings and infrastructure.
