Baghdad, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the House of Representatives' step to approve the budget schedules Al-Sudani stressed during the Cabinet session today, Tuesday: "Approving the 2024 budget is a responsible position that completes what the government and the concerned ministries have started to match the financial capacity and various obligations." He added: "The budget of (211) trillion dinars requires the integrity of procedures and care in investing financial allocations in a way that preserves public money and blocks the road to corruption attempts," noting: "The government attaches great importance to launching projects without obstacles. The Prime Minister pointed out the need for all oversight agencies to cooperate to set an executive path for projects, especially since the citizen is waiting for an improvement in the service, living and development reality. He explained: "The 2024 budget schedules include positives that contribute to the path of economi c reform, support the private sector and enable it to contribute strongly to creating job opportunities and providing services."
