Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani revealed the truth about the negotiation file with companies operating in the Kurdistan region. Al-Sudani said, during a press conference attended by the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today, Sunday, at the government palace in central Baghdad, 'There has been no progress so far in this file, and we have expressed a willingness to cooperate and have the government spend the amounts according to the national average cost of a barrel of 8 dollars.' He added, 'The contracts signed with the companies make the cost of a barrel $26, and we proposed amending the companies' contracts, and the regional government agreed, but the companies that reject this have stopped working.
