Al Rayyan defeated Al Wasl of the United Arab Emirates (3-0) in a friendly on Sunday in the Netherlands as part of their preparations for the 2024-25 season. By beating the UAE team, Al Rayyan finished their five friendly matches planned in their training camp. They won against FC Eindhoven (1-0), while they lost to FC Utrecht (1-4), Al Qadisiyah (0-2), and VVV-Venlo (1-3). During the current summer transfers, Al Rayyan signed Swedish coach Poya Asbaghi from Al Shamal, replacing Portuguese Leonardo Jardim whose contract ended mutually after one season with the team. Al Rayyan will kick off their journey in the 2024-25 Qatar Stars League (Ooredoo Stars League) on 9 August by facing Umm Salal at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium. Source: Qatar News Agency
