Doha: Al-Raya newspaper called on the international community to force the Israeli entity to stop its crimes and the genocide it is committing against the defenseless Palestinian people, especially in the devastated Gaza Strip. In its editorial today, the newspaper warned that the Israeli occupation is attempting to replicate the massacres and horrific atrocities occurring in Gaza in the West Bank. The newspaper said that the brutal crimes of the Israeli occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories are ongoing and growing more ferocious by the day, pointing to the massive destruction in the Jenin refugee camp revealed yesterday after the occupation forces withdrew, causing the greatest harm to the Palestinian citizens in an attempt to intimidate them and break their will to resist. It added that the destruction of roads, demolishing and blowing up homes, sabotaging water and sewage systems, and cutting off electricity and communications are all part of the collective and retaliatory punishment policie s proudly endorsed by members of the occupation government. The newspaper noted that the crimes of the occupation have even targeted foreign supporters of the Palestinian people with the shooting of an American peace activist near Nablus. The paper went on to say that Israel knows that aggression against Gaza will not lead to the release of prisoners unless there is a political agreement that stops the fighting and allows for a prisoner exchange. It added that Israel has killed many of its own prisoners in Gaza with random bombings, and the war crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza and the Palestinian territories will not break the will of the Palestinian people or the resistance. In conclusion, the newspaper emphasized that the Israeli government's stubbornness and its obstruction of negotiations by setting impossible conditions will not contribute to the release of prisoners. Instead, it will prolong the aggression in order to maintain the cohesion of the extremist Israeli government, which is handl ing the issue of its prisoners in Gaza from a purely political perspective.
