Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Saleh Al-Nuaimi , Deputy Prime Minister and Administration, Local and Rural Development Minister Mohammed Al-Madani launched on Tuesday a joint official and community campaign to eliminate mosquito breeding sources and control their larvae in Hodeida and Hajjah provinces, in cooperation with the local authority in the two provinces, the Agricultural Cooperative Union and the Bunyan Development Foundation. The campaign, implemented by the Health and Environment Offices, in cooperation with the local authorities in the two provinces, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Bunyan Development Foundation and members of the general mobilization courses, aims to eliminate mosquito breeding sources. At the launch at the information center in Hodeida, in the presence of Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim, Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi, and Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Deputy Minister Ibrahim Al-Madani, the Supreme Political Council member pointed out the importance of the campaign, which will contribute to reducing the spread of diseases and epidemics, in addition to coming as a proactive step to limit the spread of diseases The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Administration, Local and Rural Development, pointed out the importance of coordination between the relevant authorities to contribute to combating and eradicating these diseases. For his part, Health and Environment Deputy Minister, Dr. Nasher Al-Qaoud, explained that the campaign will be accompanied by awareness-raising for the community in the targeted districts of Hodeida and Hajjah on ways to prevent diseases and epidemics caused by mosquitoes, preserve the public environment, and the importance of enhancing community participation in this aspect. He urged the teams working in the campaign to integrate , work with the spirit of one team , realize the importance of these activities and interventions to limit the spread of diseases and epidemics. For his part, Ahmed Al-Bishri, Hodeida First Deputy Governor, emphasized the importance of community participation in removing mosquito habitats, whether they are dirt pits or swamps in the streets, house yards, water tanks and plastic pots, which are often the cause of many diseases.
