A meeting in Taiz province today, Monday, headed by Acting Governor Ahmed Amin Al-Musawa, discussed the rehabilitation project of Zamzam Well in the archaeological and historical Al-Jund Mosque. The meeting, which included the director of the branch of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Taiz, Bushra Al-Khalidi, touched on aspects related to the launch of the second phase of the project work, which includes rehabilitating the waterways and internal and external waterways of the mosque in professional ways that take into account the archaeological style and returning it to what it was before the innovations and distortions that occurred over time precedent periods. Al-Musawa directed the leadership of the branch of the General Authority for Antiquities to quickly prepare proposals and specialized studies that would return the mosque with all its facilities to the Authority and remove any developments or distortions that occurred in it and its facilities during previous periods of time. He s tressed the importance of the concerted efforts of the competent authorities in the Antiquities and Endowments Authority and coordination between them to achieve the goal of preserving the historic Moaz bin Jabal Mosque in Al-Jand and returning it to the ancient archaeological style with all its facilities. The Acting Governor urged the private sector to contribute to the restoration of the archaeological landmark of the province, noting the financing of the Yemeni Oil Company for Zamzam Well rehabilitation project.
