Israel Detains 662 Palestinians in West Bank in July 2025

Jerusalem: Palestinian Prisoners' institutions reported that 662 Palestinians, including 39 children and 12 women, were detained by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during July 2025.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), and Al Dameer Association for Human Rights stated in a report issued Sunday that the total number of detentions in the West Bank since the start of the ongoing conflict has risen to more than 18,500. This figure includes over 570 women and about 1,500 children.

The report highlights that these figures encompass those still held by the occupation as well as those released later. However, the data does not account for detainees from Gaza, whose numbers are estimated to be in the thousands since the onset of the conflict.
