Al-Massawi discusses with head of ICRC humanitarian interventions in Taiz

The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Amin Al-Massawi, discussed on Monday with the head of The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mission in Yemen, Daphnee Maret, the mission's interventions in the governorate. In the meeting, the Acting Governor of Taiz noted the activities of the International Red Cross mission and its projects in the governorate. He expressed the hope that the mission would continue its service and humanitarian activities in the governorate, which has suffered and is suffering as a result of the aggression. "Any halt or slowdown in the committee's activities and projects negatively affects the conditions of those seeking social and humanitarian services," he said. For her part, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Yemen and the director of the ICRC's office in Ibb Robert Mardini, referred to the ICRC's interventions in Taiz in the humanitarian aspects. They touched on the projects implemented in cooperation with the Yemen Red Crescent Society in the as pects of health, water and capacity building. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Fouad Hayel Sinan and Development Affairs Abdul Wasa Al-Shamsi, Director of the Humanitarian Affairs Council Branch Osama Al-Qatabri, Field Officer of the International Mission Bassam Abdel-Aal, Advisor to the Head of Mission in Sana'a Fares Bashari and Advisor to the Director of the Office of the Cross Mission in Ibb Imad Al-Qudsi.
