A statement from his media office stated: "Al-Mandalawi sent an official letter today, Thursday, to the President of the Arab Parliamentary Union Ibrahim Bou Ghali, which stated: "Due to the continued aggression on the State of Palestine and the accompanying development in expanding the circle of violence by the Zionist entity on the State of Lebanon, I request holding an emergency session of the Arab Parliamentary Union at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo for the purpose of discussing the Zionist aggression on the two Arab countries and developing real solutions to stop this brutal aggression."
