CAIRO: The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned the Israeli Knesset's decision to classify UNRWA as a terrorist organization, describing it as a reckless political bankruptcy and an insult to international humanitarian action and human rights. Aboul Gheit stated in a press release today that the decision targets the legitimacy and international reputation of UNRWA, slamming it as part of the occupying state's systematic campaign to undermine the role of the international relief agency that serves refugees. He affirmed that the decision reveals the extreme isolation that Israeli politicians are experiencing and reflects their vision devoid of any humanitarian or moral dimension.
