Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, condemned the attempted assassination of MP, Taqi Nasser Al-Waeli, calling for the speedy arrest of the perpetrators and bringing them to justice. Al-Mandalawi strongly denounced, according to a statement from his media office, the cowardly assassination attempt against MP Taqi Nasser Al-Waeli and his honorable family, following an armed attack launched by criminal gangs on his house in Al-Dulai area within the capital, Baghdad. Al-Mandalawi called on the security services, led by the Minister of Interior and the Commander of Baghdad Operations, to take urgent action to uncover the circumstances of the targeting incident, arrest the outlaw group that carried out this failed operation, and bring them to justice.' According to the statement, the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives called on the relevant authorities not to tolerate such crimes that would destabilize security and stability in Baghdad and all governorates, and to de velop a proactive plan to arrest criminal gangs and activate the intelligence side to prevent any attack that threatens the security of the country and citizens.
