The media office of the State of Law Coalition stated: "Al-Maliki met in his office today with the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre." The meeting discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially the agricultural sector and other economic aspects. For his part, Barre expressed his great appreciation for the role and positive positions exerted by Iraq and the government of Nouri al-Maliki towards Somalia in order to rebuild the institutions of the Somali state, stressing his country's desire to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
