Al-Khanjar agrees to a ‘tribal mediation’ initiative to resolve the crisis in choosing the Speaker of Parliament

Baghdad, The head of Al-Siyada (Sovereignty) Alliance, Khamis Al-Khanjar, announced his approval of an initiative put forward by former MP Abdul Amir Al-Taiban, to resolve the dispute over the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives. The former MP of Al-Fatah Alliance adopted tribal mediation to invite the leaders of the Sunni component, especially Khamis Al-Khanjar and Muhammad Al-Halbousi, to sit in the presence of the sheikhs of the southern and central tribes, to solve the problem of choosing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, proposing that the meeting place be in one of the guest houses ( Mudhif) of the middle Euphrates if approval of Al-Halbousi and al-Khanjar was obtained' Source: National Iraqi News Agency
