Al-Houthi reviews work on Awirah Dam project progress in, Sa’ada

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, made an inspection visit to Sahar District in Sa'ada province, to see the level of implementation of Awirah Dam project, a community initiative of the people of the district. During the visit, in which he was accompanied by the Governor of Sa'ada, Muhammad Jaber Awad, a member of the Parliament, Faisal Oraij, and a number of sheikhs, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi was briefed on what had been accomplished by the people of the community in Awirah Dam project, and the support provided by the local authority for the project, which represents a model of government participatory work -Community. He stressed the need to pay attention to stimulating, supporting and encouraging community initiatives in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader, who stresses the importance of activating initiatives as the basis of the development process. While Governor Awad praised the level of achievement in implementing the community initiative in Awirah D am, through which the spirit of participatory work is embodied, pointing to the intervention of the local authority by approving an amount of 100 million riyals to support the project. He appreciated the community efforts of the people of Sahar District and the effective support in implementing the project from the local authority and the relevant official authorities. In turn, Member of Parliament Areej pointed out the importance of focusing on stimulating community initiatives, especially in the most deprived and needy areas. He pointed out that supporting community initiatives comes within the directives of the Revolution Leader and a translation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council regarding activating government-community participatory work to advance the agricultural sector and enhance its role in the field of food security.
