The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of making the local governments experience a success. The Wisdom Movement stated in a statement: "Al-Hakim met today with the head of Wasit Provincial Council, Ali Sulaiman al-Shammari, his deputy, and a number of council members, reviewing the developments in the service reality in the governorate and the level of services provided to the Wasit citizen." Al-Hakim stressed the necessity of making the local governments experience a success and the importance of seizing opportunities and powers and joint coordination with ministries to complete projects, especially the faltering ones, calling for working on the stability of local governments and their dedication to serving citizens. He stressed the importance of promoting the economic features of the governorate, such as the agricultural, industrial, tourism and oil features, calling for strategic projects to promote them, in addition to other projects that enhance citizens' con fidence in local governments.
