SANA'A - SABA : Al-Arouba Cultural Sports Club, in cooperation with Yemeni-Omani United Telecommunications Company (YOU), organized on Thursday a cultural event to commemorate the Prophet's birthday anniversary . At the event, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, member of the Supreme Political Council, stressed that this celebration and activities emphasize the Yemenis' determination to be a model of attachment to the Messenger of God. "All the peoples of the earth celebrate and present great examples of celebrations, so why doesn't the nation present the greatest celebrations on the Allah Messenger's birth anniversary because it is one of the greatest occasions in the entire human history," he said. At the event, which was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Mowalid, Deputy Minister of Administration, Local and Rural Development Nasser Al-Mihdhar, Secretary General of the Sana'a Municipality Amin Jumaan, Deputy Minister of Youth for the Sports Sector Ali Hadban, President of Al-Arouba Club Abdullah Musaffar Al-Shaer and President of Ahli Sana'a Club Hassan Al-Kabous, Dr. Bin Habtoor noted that the celebration of the Prophet's Birthday is a social and cultural heritage of the Yemenis. He emphasized that celebrating his birth anniversary is an obligation for Muslims in compliance with the Almighty saying: "Say: "By the grace and mercy of God, let them rejoice." He called on everyone to participate in the Prophet's Birthday grand celebration on Sunday in order to elevate the status of the Messenger of God and his great honor. For his part, Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi, Vice President of Al-Arouba Club and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemeni-Omani United Telecommunications Company, emphasized that the celebration of the Prophet's Birthday is to raise the memory of Allah's Messenger and at the same time to raise the memory of Muslims in the sight of God Almighty. The vice president of Al-Arouba Club pointed out that celebrating the Prophet's birth anniversary reinforces faith identity, evokes the morals and qualities of the Messenger of Allah and consolidates his love in people's souls. For his part, a member of the Yemen Scholars Association, Allama Khalid Musa, emphasized that the Islam brought by the Messenger of Allah is entitled "mercy" in accordance with the words "And we sent you only as a mercy to the world" and guidance to the straight path brought by Allah Messenger. Following the ceremony, the member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, along with the Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Al-Mawlad , a number of officials and guests of the ceremony, witnessed a performance by the cavalry band in the courtyard of the club, which presented an expressive image of the celebration and rejoicing of this anniversary. The management of Al-Arouba Club, represented by club president Abdullah Al-Shaer and his deputy Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi, honored the table tennis team that won third place and bronze medals in the Republic Championship for Clubs for Table Tennis, which concluded .
