National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji stressed that stability in the region depends on the existence of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. The Chencellry said in a statement: "Al-Araji met in his office today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium accredited to Iraq and residing in Amman, Serge Dickschen, and during the meeting, they discussed strengthening Iraqi-Belgian relations and ways to develop them and continue cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging information." The meeting also witnessed a review of the latest developments in the region and the resulting expansion of the conflict arena that may include other countries in the region. Al-Araji stressed Iraq's clear and explicit position rejecting the genocide, killing and destruction taking place in Gaza and Lebanon, stressing that stability in the region depends on the existence of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
