The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, met today, on the sidelines of the twelfth meeting of senior officials on security issues, held in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, with the Secretary-General of the Russian Security Council, Patrushev Nikolai Platonovich. The meeting discussed, according to a statement by the Chancellery, the latest security and political developments at the international and regional levels, and ways to enhance cooperation relations between the two countries, especially cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging experiences and information.
