Abu Rudeineh Warns of Israeli Efforts to Thwart Gaza Ceasefire

Abu Dhabi: Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh has issued a warning about the Israeli occupation government's attempts to obstruct efforts to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and halt its actions in the West Bank. This warning comes in light of reports of the destruction of thousands of homes in the Jenin and Tulkarm refugee camps, where residents have been forcibly evacuated, and ongoing violence and blockades in the Gaza Strip.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Abu Rudeineh has urged the US administration to pressure the occupying power to engage in efforts for a comprehensive cessation of hostilities across all Palestinian territories, including the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with particular emphasis on Jerusalem. He also called for a halt to attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites, stressing the need for international support to achieve these goals.

Abu Rudeineh highlighted the importance of the US administration's statements advocating for an end to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that these statements need to be backed by firm and decisive actions to stop aggression against Palestinian cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank. He reiterated that adherence to international legitimacy resolutions is the sole path to achieving lasting security and stability in the region.
