The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency arrested a suspect with a Sumerian artifact in his possession that he intended to sell in Anbar Governorate. A statement by the agency stated that the intelligence agency units responsible for combating organized crime/Anbar arrested an accused who wanted to sell an antiquity dating back to the Sumerian era. This came after information was received that there was a person has an antiquity that he wanted to sell for a sum of money. An intelligence work team was immediately formed and followed up on the ground, he was arrested red-handed when he received the money, and the operation took place after obtaining due judicial approvals. The statement explained that when he was investigated, he explicitly admitted his intention to sell the antiquity in exchange for money, and he was referred to the competent authorities to receive his just punishment.
