Australian police evacuated a shopping center east of Sydney, today, Saturday, amid reports of multiple stabbings and possibly a number of deaths. New South Wales Police said that emergency services were called to Westfield Bondi Junction Center after reports of several people being stabbed. The police added in a statement: 'A serious incident began after a man was shot in Bondi Junction,' noting that the operation is currently underway with shoppers being evacuated. For his part, a New South Wales Ambulance spokesman said there were two alleged perpetrators. He added that the police shot one of them and were chasing the other. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
