The Popular Mobilization Commission announced, today, Friday, the arrest of a prominent terrorist leader in Baghdad. The Commission said in a statement, 'In a qualitative operation, the intelligence and information detachments/ General Directorate of Information of the Popular Mobilization Forces succeeded in overthrowing a prominent terrorist leader in the capital, Baghdad.' The statement added, "The operation was based on intelligence information and careful follow-up, as the detachments were able to arrest the terrorist leader (T.A.G.) in the capital, Baghdad, who worked in Anbar Province and later in North Baghdad Province." The statement continued, "The terrorist is one of the most prominent participants in the conference of clans supporting ISIS criminal gangs in Garma region, in which the soldier in the Iraqi army (Samir Murad) was killed," indicating, "The necessary measures were taken against the detainee."
