Baghdad, Ishraqat Canoon parliamentary bloc revealed its position on amending the Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959 as amended. The bloc renewed, through a press statement, its support for amending the Personal Status Law, with the necessity that the text proposed in the recent amendment proposal be subject to extensive discussion and consultation with specialists, in a way that ensures achieving maximum coverage of the legal aspects contained therein.
