The Ministry of Health announced today that a young man died of wounds he sustained after being shot by the Israeli occupation army about a week ago in Jenin. The ministry identified the young man as Jamal Masharqa, 21, from Jenin refugee camp. Masharqa was shot by occupation forces in the chest and leg during their aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp on November 9. He was transferred to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, where his injury was described as critical. He underwent surgical operations in an attempt to save his life until he was announced dead this evening. With the death of Masharqa, the death toll in the West Bank has risen to 206 since the start of Israel's comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7.
