Al-Aqsa TV, affiliated with Hamas, announced the killing of a number of companions and assistants of the late head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Gaza Strip. The channel said that the companions and assistants were killed in an Israeli bombing "that left near Abu al-Abd's home in Al-Shati camp on Monday evening. The Quds News Network reported that 9 people were killed, including 6 of Ismail Haniyeh's companions and assistants, in the Israeli bombing. Abdul Salam, Ismail Haniyeh's son, said that a number of "the companions of the martyr leader, father Abu al-Abd, were martyred a short while ago in the bombing of our camp... Al-Shati camp, to join their leader and father." The companions killed, according to Abdel Salam Haniyeh, are Abu Mazen Hassouna, Khalil Matar, Abu Hussam al-Hadidi, Akram al-Hissi, Misbah al-Da'ifi, Tamer al-Absi and his daughter, and Muhammad Abu Odeh.
