Nineveh police uncovered a murder within 5 hours of its occurrence and arrested the victim's father. A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated that after receiving news of the presence of a young man's body in a dumpster on the left side of Mosul, a working team was formed to investigate the incident by (Abu Tamam Police Department and the Crime Control Department (Abu Tamam Crime Control Division) and the Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Division of Abu Tamam) and after conducting an inspection and planning at the scene of the incident and collecting evidence and information and tracking surveillance cameras, the crime was uncovered within five hours of its occurrence and the identity of the killer was reached. After conducting the investigation, it became clear that he was the father of the victim. After confronting him with evidence and proof, he confessed to killing his son by strangulation inside his house in (Al-Arbajiyya) area on the left side of the city of Mosul due to family problems and di sputes. He then carried him inside a garbage container and transported him to the landfill to hide the traces of the crime.
