The number of journalist martyrs in Gaza has risen to 141 since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October, after journalist Muhammad Bassam Al-Jamal was martyred today as a result of wounds he sustained as a result of an Israeli raid on a house east of Rafah, south of the Strip. The government media office in Gaza said in a statement today that the martyrdom of Al-Jamal brings the number of journalist martyrs to 141 since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, in addition to hundreds of others who were injured, and the occupation targeted their families and destroyed their homes, offices, and media headquarters. Last night, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a house in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of three Palestinians and the injury of others, in addition to the destruction of the house and severe damage to the targeted area, which included displaced people from different areas in the Strip. Thi s comes in conjunction with the escalation of the pace of Israeli raids in Rafah, with Tel Aviv insisting on invading the city, claiming to confront the last strongholds of the Hamas movement, despite increasing international warnings of catastrophic repercussions, in light of the presence of about 1.4 million displaced people there. The official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation announced yesterday evening, Wednesday, that the Israeli occupation army is preparing to invade the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, 'very soon.'
