Nineveh Police Command revealed the murder of two girls and arrested the perpetrators. The Command stated in a statement: 'After receiving information about the killing of two sister girls, the first 7 years old and the second 3 years old, a specialized work team was formed to uncover the crime that occurred in Al-Zahraa residential complex in the Bartella district.' It added: 'Within less than 24 hours of starting the investigation, the perpetrators were identified, and it turned out that they were the father and mother with the help of the son.' It added: 'Their statements were recorded in the preliminary and judicial confessions, and their confessions stated that the reason for their committing the crime was family problems due to the father and mother's addiction to drinking alcohol.
