Karbala: A father and his son drowned in one of the rivers of Karbala Governorate in Al-Sawada area. A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the river police were able to bring out the bodies of a father and his son who had drowned in Al-Maghlaf River, which is considered to have a fast-flowing stream as it is considered a water-carrying channel and swimming in it is very dangerous. He added that the two bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department in Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, Medical City. He explained that this case of drowning is considered the fourth in the same channel since the beginning of the summer, despite the warnings issued by the police not to swim in this channel.
