The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a drug dealer with a kilogram of narcotics in Maysan Governorate. The Ministry's Spokesman, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement today: "The detachments of the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Maysan were able to arrest one of the important dealers in the governorate." He added that "a kilogram of narcotics (15) thousand US dollars was seized in the possession of the accused, who was trying to transfer it to a neighboring country for the purpose of purchasing narcotics."
