A security source announced that a checkpoint in Abu Ghraib, west of Baghdad, was targeted by gunfire. The source told the National Iraqi News Agency/NINA/: "Unknown gunmen opened fire, at dawn today, Monday, towards Al-Furat checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Al-Anaz in Abu Ghraib area," stressing: "The incident did not result in any injuries.
