8,600 trainees joined the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC)'s institutes in the training program for the year 2024-2025, in addition to the 5,790 regular beneficiaries. In a statement, VTC Director General, Dr. Ahmed Gharaibeh, said the corporation is continuing to implement its strategy for the years 2022-2025, which aims to develop its plans to keep pace with the labor market's needs, rapid technological developments and future specializations, and design programs to grasp future skills, in cooperation with the private sector. Gharaibeh added that the VTC seeks to increase awareness of the importance of vocational specializations under "clear" performance indicators, and aims to accommodate 30,000 trainees and raise employment rate to 90% by 2025. Gharaibeh noted the VTC also seeks to review and develop all training programs and create 30 new programs that focus on future job skills. The VTC employs over 500 trainers in its 30 institutes in the Kingdom's various governorates and oversees qualificati on of trainees through 270 training workshops, and more than 120 accredited training programs, he pointed out.
