At least eight people were killed and a number of others wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Barashit in Southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese security source. It said Israeli aircraft targeted a fire station of the health authority, and that rescue teams were racing to pull up the wounded and recover bodies from the rubble. Israeli jets also targeted the towns of Kfar Kila and Khiyam amid relentless artillery shelling of surrounding areas, the source said, adding that air raids were recorded on the towns of Jarjou, Zoutar, Sajd, Tayr Dibba, Jabal al-Rayhan and Rumeish, the source said.
