Amman: South Korean authorities on Friday strongly suspected "an electric fault" as the primary cause of the fire at a hotel in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, which resulted in seven fatalities and twelve injuries on Thursday. According to fire officials, the fire broke out at a hotel in Jung-dong, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, at approximately 7:39 p.m. on the eighth level of the nine-story structure. Thick black smoke swiftly filled the corridors as the fire, which was limited to the hotel's upper floors, spread. According to fire officials, the majority of the deaths were caused by breathing in poisonous smoke, which was made worse by the lack of a sprinkler system. Source: Jordan News Agency
