Ramallah - Ma'an - The Ministry of Health said that 69% of children in the Gaza Strip (from one day old to 10 years old) received the first dose of the polio vaccine. The ministry explained in a statement that after 7 days of the launch of the first round of the polio vaccination campaign, vaccinations were carried out until this number reached, as part of the ongoing campaign in the governorates of Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis and the surrounding areas, until Sunday evening. She pointed out that the number of children who received the first dose until Saturday evening reached 441,647 children, including 49% females and 51% males. She explained that the first round of the vaccination campaign is being completed in the Gaza and North Governorates, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health, UNRWA, World Health Organization, and UNICEF teams are continuing their efforts in the vaccination campaign despite the ongoing occupation aggression on the Strip, and in light of the great danger to their movement between v accination centers.
