The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced today, Sunday, the arrest of six wanted persons on charges of terrorism, kidnapping and antiquities trafficking in Baghdad and Babylon. The Directorate stated in a statement that "the detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security were able to arrest a woman wanted by the judiciary on charges of terrorism in Baghdad, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law." It added that "the detachments of the same Directorate arrested two women who were involved in human trafficking in Baghdad, who were caught red-handed while selling a child for sums of money, and the eight-year-old girl was released and the two accused were handed over to the competent authorities." The statement explained that "in a third operation, the detachments of the Babylon Intelligence and Security Directorate were able to arrest three suspects who were trading in antiquities in Babylon. They were found in their possession of ancient coins that they intended to sell. Legal measures were taken against them and they were handed over to the competent authorities."
