Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested (6) judicially wanted defendants, including an 'ISIS' terrorist in accordance with Article 4/1 of terrorism, during the implementation of pre-emptive operations to secure the areas adjacent to the visitors' road south of Baghdad. The Command stated in a statement: 'The forces of the 17th Infantry Division carried out a series of pre-emptive security operations to search the areas adjacent to the visitors' road and arrested (6) defendants in accordance with various legal articles, including an ISIS terrorist' wanted according to Article 4/1 of terrorism after reviewing the wanted lists in Al-Nasr checkpoint.' It explained: 'These security operations came to provide a safe environment, preserve the security achievement achieved in southern Baghdad, and prevent those who dare to tamper with the security and safety of citizens.'
