Amman: 520 more Malaysian students will join Jordanian public and private universities during the next academic year 2024-2025, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced Wednesday. In a statement, the ministry said the Malaysian Cultural Attaché Office in Amman affirmed 417 students will join Jordanian universities at the beginning of the first semester, while 103 Malaysian students will enroll at the start of the second semester. The ministry added that these students will be distributed to 8 Jordanian public and private universities in various Islamic Sharia and banking, Arabic language, and economic specializations. The ministry stated that efforts are underway to overcome any difficulties facing these students, who are expected to begin arriving in the Kingdom next September. To date, the ministry noted about 1,800 and Malaysian students are currently studying at Jordanian universities. Additionally, the ministry seeks to sign an executive program for mutual cultural exchange tha t provides scholarships for the two countries' students and frame joint cooperation in the higher education and scientific research fields.
