Baghdad: Security forces arrested (5) people accused of smuggling petroleum derivatives, in Kirkuk. One of them built a car washing station on prohibited oil. A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated: 'Detachments of the First Brigade of the Energy Police arrested (4) defendants and seized their vehicles in Kirkuk Governorate. Also, detachments of the Third Brigade of the Energy Police on the Karkh side of Baghdad Governorate arrested a person who built a car wash station above "One of the oil taboos." He added: 'The defendants were detained in preparation for being brought before the competent judiciary based on the Anti-Smuggling of Oil and Its Derivatives Law No. (41) of 2008.
