Syria announced, on Monday, the martyrdom of 5 civilians as a result of the Israeli missile aggression that targeted a number of sites around the city of Masyaf in the Hama countryside. The director of the National Hospital in Masyaf, Dr. Faisal Haidar, said according to the Syrian News Agency "SANA": "The Israeli aggression led to the martyrdom of 5 civilians and the injury of 19 others, some of whom are in critical condition." "SANA" reported that the governor of Hama, Maan Abboud, visited the injured in the Masyaf National Hospital and checked on their health and directed the mobilization of ambulance, medical and nursing cadres and crews to provide services to them. "SANA" added, "The Israeli aggression also caused damage to the Masyaf-Wadi Al-Oyoun highway and a fire broke out in Hir Abbas area, which firefighting teams are working to control." A Syrian military source had announced the martyrdom and injury of a number of citizens as a result of an Israeli missile aggression that targeted a number o f military sites in the central region. He added: "In a press statement according to SANA: At approximately 23:20 on Sunday evening, 8-9-2024, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of northwest Lebanon, targeting a number of military sites in the central region. Our air defense systems confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down some of them."
