Amman: Despite the Israeli occupation authorities' severe military measures on the mosque's gates and the entrances to the Old City in occupied Jerusalem, thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. About 40,000 people, according to the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem, performed Friday prayer within Al-Aqsa Mosque. According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAfA), some people who were expelled from Al-Aqsa Mosque and were not allowed to re-enter it performed Friday prayer next to Lions Gate.
