Israeli medical sources announced that 4 Israelis were injured on Sunday with varying injuries, including a critical condition and a serious condition, as a result of a run-over that took place near Ramla at Nir Zvi Junction, south of Tel Aviv. Hebrew media said that the condition of one of the soldiers injured in the operation was very serious, while another was in critical condition. Hebrew Channel 12 also reported, quoting an Israeli police spokesman, that 'the event near Ramla was a double operation that included a run-over and shooting.' Hebrew Channel 13 said that a border guard force was near the site and opened fire on the perpetrator, and later reported that "the perpetrator of the operation was from Kafr Aqab and had an Israeli identity card and was killed at the scene." The Israeli police commander in the central region reported that the perpetrator ran over several Israelis at a bus station and carried out another ramming operation hundreds of meters away from the first. For its part, the Hebr ew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said, "The double operation in Ramla came in response to the assassination attempt on the commander of al-Qassam Brigades, Muhammad al-Deif, Mawasi massacre in Khan Yunis, and Hamas's call to escalate the resistance."
