A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck southwestern South Korea Wednesday. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Buan County in North Jeolla Province, southwest of the country. This tremor is the strongest on the Korean Peninsula and its surrounding waters this year. There have been no reports of casualties or materials damage so far.
