Amara, Maysan Police arrested 38 suspects and seized 3 firearms during a funeral marching in one of the areas of Amara city, the center of the governorate. The Maysan Police Command said in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "After receiving news of hearing the sound of gunfire, it was later found that its source was a funeral marching in one of the areas of Amara. As a result, a joint force was formed and a security cordon was imposed on the funeral gathering, which resulted in the arrest of (38) suspects accused of shooting and the seizure of (3) Kalashnikov weapons and a Glock pistol." It added: "The accused were taken to the security detention center in order to complete the legal procedures and present them to the judiciary." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
