Somalia expressed its deep concern and extreme dissatisfaction with the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip, denouncing the continuing crimes of the Israeli aggression against Gaza, and the Israeli entity committing a genocidal war against the residents of Gaza Strip. In his speech during the 33rd Arab Summit held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre has called for more Arab support to confront the violations of the Israeli entity against the Palestinians, pointing to the holding of the Arab Summit amid economic challenges, crises and armed and political conflicts witnessed by a number of Arab countries. He highlighted that the Palestinian issue is the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nations, stressing the importance of Arab and international support to confront Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, and the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent, fully sovereign state. He reiterated his country's support for the Arab Peace I nitiative, and for all efforts that lead to the Palestinian brothers achieving their legitimate rights, and its support for all steps taken by the Palestinian leadership to stop the brutal massacres taking place in the Gaza Strip.
