Together - Thousands of citizens performed Friday prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in light of the strict military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on access to the mosque. The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem estimated that about 30,000 citizens performed Friday prayers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation forces continue to impose severe restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, especially during Fridays and holidays, and prevent many citizens from performing prayers. The Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa during the Friday sermon and prayer, prevented a large number of worshipers from entering, and arrested a boy. The occupation authorities deprive thousands of citizens from the West Bank governorates from reaching Jerusalem to perform prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as they require special permits to cross the military checkpoints surrounding the Holy City. Since the start of the comprehensive Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, last October, the occupation forces have tightened their procedures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the entrances to the Old City Source: Maan News Agency
