Washington: At least three police officers were killed and others were injured in an exchange of gunfire in the US state of North Carolina. US media, citing police, reported that eight law enforcement personnel were also shot during the incident. The police was finally able to arrest two people in the house, and they are now being interrogated. The US witnesses frequent shooting incidents with various motives. The issue of the spread of weapons among the population is considered one of the most controversial issues in the country, prompting US President Joe Biden to approve a draft law prepared by Republican and Democratic legislators to set controls on gun possession in June 2022.
