Doha: Qatar Toy Festival has returned for its second edition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The festival, organized by Visit Qatar, opened its doors on July 15, and will run till August 14 (Sunday Wednesday, 14:00 22:00 and Thursday Saturday, 14:00 23:00). The festival spans over 17,000 square meters with 3 new zones, amounting the total number of zones to 10: Preschool, Girls, Boys, Anime, Family, Movie Land, Stage, F and B, Theming Area, and Retail. New additions this year include Mr. Bean, Barney, and Barbie Dreamhouse. Qatar Toy Festival hosts parades, various kinds of stage shows, live mascots, play areas, performances by influencers, retail stores and more. Al Mayassa Salem, the Events Coordinator at Qatar Tourism, stated that the second edition of the Qatar Toy Festival, which will last for a full month, is the largest and best yet. This event is part of Qatar Tourism's plans to welcome 6 million visitors annually by 2030. She pointed out that the hosting of the second editio n of the Qatar Toy Festival underscores Qatar's status as a family-friendly tourist destination, adding that Qatar has modern and advanced infrastructure, including world-class facilities and establishments that encompass 128 sites and cover an area of 70,000 square meters. Visit Qatar is the main arm of Qatar Tourism, responsible for marketing and promoting the tourism sector in the State of Qatar. The mission of Visit Qatar is to promote and expand tourism in Qatar by developing the country's rich cultural heritage, enhancing attractions, and strengthening the calendar of events and festivals. It aims to make Qatar the leading destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions in the region. Visit Qatar operates based on principles that include excellence in service, diversification of tourism offerings, support for investment in the entire tourism sector, and increasing demand for tourism products among both local and international visitors.
