Amman: Agriculture Minister Khaled Hanifat said Saturday that the National Center for Agricultural Research is witnessing remarkable technical development through the automation of its research and the use of scientific research outputs through the Agricultural Incubator of Innovation and entrepreneurship, which contributes to the development of the agricultural sector. "The next stage required looking for creative solutions within the plan to transform creative ideas into realistic pilot projects to advance the agricultural sector in cooperation with local and international partners," he said during the signing of 21 agreements within the center's innovation incubator. For his part, director of the research center Khaled Abu Hammour said the incubator adopts up-to-date techniques through an integrated system to support initiators and innovators, and provides services and consultations to launch and develop projects, adding that the number of incubated projects reached 80. The center's role, he pointed out , is to embrace, promote and preserve cognitive and creative assets, with a focus on investment in human capital and development of the intellectual and creative aspects of incubated projects. The agreements included pilot projects, including drying oyster mushrooms and agricultural products, an agricultural labor platform, palm weevil detection, aquaponics, aerobics saffron cultivation, hydroponics, recycling wood waste, producing organic fertilizers from waste, analyzing agricultural data, and producing cranberries, textile waste recycling, mushroom waste recycling, industrial cotton recycling, remote irrigation system, healthy food products, tropical dragon fruit, smart irrigation system, hibiscus cultivation, plant enzyme correction and turmeric food supplement production.
